Don Valley Academy is an Ontario Ministry of Education inspected private high school in Toronto offering credit courses to students to achieve their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Since 2002, our school has successfully guided students to meet their educational goals with 98% of our students gaining admission to the University/College program of their choice.
Our low student-to-teacher ratio, along with the spirit of cooperation we foster at our school, allows us to provide a respectful, safe, and nurturing environment for our students. In this positive atmosphere, our students are motivated to focus effectively on their studies and to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to excel academically.
Working closely with dedicated teachers, both inside and outside of the classroom, our students build the confidence, self-discipline, and social skills they need to reach their goals, and to contribute to society in a positive and meaningful manner.
At Don Valley Academy students can register full-time or part-time into our day classes that are offered in four terms throughout the school year from September to June. Students focus on up to two courses each term allowing for more flexibility in course selection and reducing the chances that students feel overwhelmed. DVA has an average class size of 7 students that allows our teachers to meet the individual needs of each student, provide motivation, and support them academically so they can reach their full potential. Our school offers courses that run Monday to Friday for four weeks in July and in August for students who want to get ahead and achieve an extra credit or reduce their course load in the upcoming school year.
